This Development Project is a unique effort between ALYN Global Services Ltd. and Bayelsa State Government through the Ministry of Agriculture.

The site was a previously abandoned project of the former government and was seen as a blight to the community. ALYN Global Services Ltd. proposed to make the site viable by not only completing the site for its original purpose which was a commercial fishery; but the firm designed a sustainable mixed-used commercial facility that will contribute to Governor Dickson's vision of making Bayelsa a tourist attraction.

In doing so, the site will not only serve its original purpose but it will have a fine dining restaurant, a bar & grille, night club, outdoor garden and vendor spaces. These additions have the potential to bring at least 100 or more jobs to Bayesla and adds an additional point of attraction for visitors to the state. Through the creative efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture; the Commissioner, Dr. Thomas N. Commander, is finding viable ways to lure investment to ensure food security for the State. This development, unique in its own right, has the potential to create a benchmark for "planning outside of the box" in the transformation of Bayelsa as viable tourist attraction in Sub-Saharan Africa.

NOTE: We will dedicate an entire site for the commercial fishery as it will also serve an Knowledge Transfer Centre for the technical aspects of aquaculture. For more information on the commercial fishery, please see www.fishbayelsa.com
